Zackery Garcia

Zackery Manuel Garcia is an experienced gaffer and editor with an impressive history of work across commercial, documentary, and narrative production environments. With their strong work ethic and detail-focused planning, Zackery goes above and beyond to support their team no matter what position they fill.

Zackery has spent the past two years as a Production Manager at Michigan Creative; they supported project execution from beginning to end, coordinating members from all teams while helping to create and implement systems for consistently effective production at every opportunity. Prior to that role, Zackery accumulated multiple years of editing experience with Michigan State University, contributing to a variety of public-facing projects including commercial content for the College of Natural Science and the College of Communication Arts and Sciences, as well as the award-winning documentary Auto-Mated, which received a 2024 Silver Telly.

In addition to their post-production background, Zackery has extensive on-set experience as a gaffer. Their credits span a wide range of productions, including the feature film Harmony in Motion, Student Emmy–winning short Cultivar, and hundreds of commercial shoots. They are recognized for their reliability on set, extensive technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to collaborate effectively with directors, cinematographers, and production teams.
